Regularly scheduled homophobia on Political Memes. Making fun of gayness is not the same thing as making fun of homophobic fascists, even if you’re “doing to them what they do to others,” or whatever. The fact that gayness is now so heavily associated with these people is becoming a problem.
It feels like victim blaming when the “self hating homosexual”-trope is trotted out every time.
It also happens to be consistent with 20th century homophobic narratives about gay men hiding among us and instigating a degeneration of society. Almost like most people never actually stopped being bigoted, but just learned what actions are visibly bigoted.
