SOCIAL media? I’m getting too old for this shit.

It’s funny how stripping out the fourth beat just sounds like a band who doesn’t quite know how Take 5 goes and they’re just winging it: https://youtu.be/t3u8GwMlJaw

To me, notes have a pitch and a duration, maybe some dynamics.
That could be part of the problem: time signatures aren’t a property of the notes, they’re a property of the song. The time signature is the rhythm and flow of the music. If you try to do a waltz in 4/4, it’s probably not going to sound like a waltz unless you do some really screwy things.
Plus, knowing the time signature helps you figure out why that guy is waving his stick like that while you’re playing.

I would imagine it’s less about the possibility of other healthy choices and more about not putting more things on the overworked teacher’s plates (so to speak). Which is the faster way to tell if kids have a healthy snack: seeing a row of kids eating fruit, or going to each one, looking at the snack’s wrapper, figure out if the ingredients sound healthy enough, hope that you’re not going to have to get into an argument with the kid because their parent found a couple of research papers on the internet, then move to the next one.

Stephanie Beatriz, but only when she does the Rosa Diaz voice.

Not quite technology, unless you factor in the development of cable TV, but 24 hour news networks. That was the start of news as entertainment, as they didn’t have enough to fill 24 hours and had to do whatever they could to get and retain viewers.

Eh, probably. But more importantly I always thought I was weird, but after working at a library for a bit I’ve decided today that I’m merely unusual. On one hand, a sad day but on the other hand I’ve finally got something for my annual goal review.

Yeah, but Billy Joel loves you just the way you are

I’d use a song specifically for my fans. A song that would tell them that I appreciate them so much that I wouldn’t ever give them up. That I wouldn’t make them cry or say goodbye.
I can’t answer your question, but I’m happy to see Tig Notaro with a blaster rifle.
