The “all options are bad” voter discouragement has ramped back up for a while now. But also interesting is the absence of another kind of anti-democracy discourse: where are the “vote 3rd party” stooges that always become active before USA presidential elections?
If the stooges aren’t promoting 3rd party voting now, then does that mean that 3rd party voting is not actually a bad thing during USA congressional elections? I mean, if it were bad for democracy in the USA, then I’d expect the authoritarian bootlickers to be promoting it now as well. But it’s also possible that they are and that I’m just not watching the right places, since I don’t follow any state specific discussion forums.
From another source:
*That meant Salinardi could not look behind Rubio’s decision to examine the evidence supporting it, Taurel said.
“If the Secretary of State says the person is deportable, it is game over,” he told reporters Wednesday.*

Basically “you are being prosecuted, therefore we will convict you”. The kind of judging that is normal in authoritarian countries like Russia, but runs contrary to liberalism. The only bright side is that they had to bring this judge in from out of state, which indicates that he might be an exception and that not all immigration judges are full-on authoritarian bootlickers (yet). That the prosecutors could bring in their preferred judge shows that the entire process is unfair, there’s no separation of powers.
