I love the memes that pour out of [hostile community 1] and [hostile community 2], but inevitably when I participate in the comments under their posts, I’m bombarded with accusations of “trolling,” “imperialist apologia,” “racism,” etc. because I disagree with some aspects of the the hyper-auth-left.

I just want a community that makes me laugh “hehe, that’s a good point about that problem with the US” that isn’t overrun with people doing mental gymnastics to paint anything I say as the worst thing anyone’s ever said in the history of the internet and recreationally banning me for it.

Does such a place exist on the Fediverse (yet)?

    Unironically, if you have a Reddit account and you just wanna have a lil’ laugh without being too critical of the genocidal settler colony turned global hegemon called the USA, you can find like-minded people there. They kinda banned all the “troublemakers”, so don’t be surprised to find them here!

      I never said the USA isn’t a genocidal settler colony turned global hegemony, nor did I say it doesn’t deserve criticism for that and more, nor did I say I don’t enjoy such criticism. Hilariously ironically, I said the opposite.

      I can’t confirm if the second half of your username is true, but the first half sure is.

        Fair, but maybe what I said still stands. I rarely run into any actual “tankie”/auth left content (usually just complaints about them!), maybe I’d have to see where you’ve been to understand your possibly valid complaints, I’d have to see it personally.

          Next time you see a leftist meme crop up from one of the more popular non-local communities, take a peek at the comments for people like me and the legion of people dog-piling them.

          “I disagree with this part of the meme:” is considered a deeply hostile act and you’ll be treated accordingly.
