How’d that work out? Guy made a plea deal, failed to start a revolution and is just a meme on the internet.
dude is rightfully seen as a hero to millions of people and odds are is going to have mad respect in prison. dunno if I’d call that nothing.
Only because he got caught.
Remember how they pissed their pants? If he had the training, perhaps some support and a better plan, he might have kept going.
He was bound to get caught. Typically if it was the start of a movement, you would have seen organization and actual actions occurring, rather than nothing and health costs still skyrocketing. But hey, makes a good meme right?
You just need to convince the richest man on the world to buy them, and let him drive them out of business.
All you have to do is show enough people their most-egregious aweful, or even evil, behavior, in ways that go viral, and make accountability bite them…
You’ll be blacklisted by all their friends, though, as part of the price you pay for doing it…
such is the consequence of being born into already-established designer/decorator feudalism…
maintain appearances, or you’ll be hurt, right?
🙏
What do you mean by… “blacklisted by all their friends”…?
Remember the EU judge whose Visa and Mastercard accounts were frozen for investigating the US for something? That. Except you’re probably not a high ranking official.
Connect with other people and no longer be a single individual fighting this fight. Reveal to others why you think those are evil companies, encourage them to boycott them, build a community of likeminded people, use this to influence politics or become politically active yourself.
Dude, can you also do Microsoft, Meta, Space X, Palantir and Clearview while you’re at it? Not particularly in that order.
Microsoft seems to be doing well enough fucking themselves.
Edit: I just looked at their stock. The world makes no sense.
Become an expert assassin and kill the CEOs, major shareholders and executives, etc. into the stock collapses and the companies shut down.
We’re counting on you, OP. Be careful.
They can’t. It’s not a one person job and there is no getting around that.
I recommend politics. Local politics can get their presence in your neighborhood to chill, set examples for other municipalities, and lead to broader office (if done well). Legal, community driven, and fairly direct. Does require talking to your neighbors, sometimes in public, which is a substantial downside.
Failing politics, I think your next best bet is probably attempting to do some hacking/espionage work. LLMs make this more scalable than it used to be, and they seem pretty happy to hack big companies. Costs a lot of money, will enrich other tech bros with high probability, definitely illegal, and it’s pretty hard to do this hard enough to crush the business (tho if you can siphon enough money out???). But you won’t have to talk to a neighbor or speak in public, so that’s nice.

Launch a competing business. IBM is still technically around but yeah.
Acknowledging that IBM is still around undermines your point about “competition”. The whole point of end-game capitalism is to escape competition, not overcome it.
Are you kidding me? IBM back in the day was like Microsoft+Google+Apple+many other companies all rolled into one. They are a shadow of what they were.
Become a billionaire and outcompete them, or become a some kind of supreme leader of USA and Switzerland and close them down.
Massive damage to infrastructure. Repeat every bail out.
Switch off the eletricity.
