Explore communities — your home feed starts empty because Lemmy is federated, not centralized. To find communities:
• Go to lemmyverse.net to browse communities across all Lemmy instances • Copy the community URL (e.g. https://lemmy.world/c/news) and paste it into the search bar on lemmy.lu • Click subscribe 3. Create your own community — if none exists for your topic, make one. Local communities work immediately, no federation needed.
- Post and comment — share articles, ask questions, start discussions. Any language is welcome.
Tips
• Your feed only shows posts from communities you subscribe to. Subscribe to more to see more. • You can interact with users on other instances the same way as local ones — just search for them. • If a community isn’t showing up in search, try pasting the full URL (e.g. https://lemmy.world/c/technology) instead of the !community@instance format.
